On Wednesday 1st May 2013 eleven boys from Year 4 took part in this year's festival. They all played and conducted themselves magnificently and should feel very proud of how well they represented our school.
Well done to four of our children. They have been invited to train with the North Herts Indoor Athletics Squad. Hopefully, they might be selected and given the opportunity to represent North Herts at the county indoor athletics events.
On Saturday 20th April, Ickleford Hi Five Netball team took part in the local schools rally. Nine other schools took part. Initially they played four games. They won all of these games and entered the play offs where they lost to Our Ladies. The next game determined who came third or fourth and they won this one putting us into third place.
The team played very well, controlling the pace and quality of most of the games. They were also an absolute credit to the school and I was very proud to be their coach.
Congratulations to the Ickleford School 'B' team! On Thursday 14th March the Ickleford 'B' team won the Hitchin and District 'B' team end of season rally. They qualified from their group undefeated and then went on to win the semi-final 2 - 0 against Our Lady and then eventually winning the final 1 - 0 against Breechwood Green.
They all played magnificently and were positive and supportive throughout, well done!
Well done to all the children who represented Ickleford Primary School at the year's Saracens Tag Rugby Festival. This event took place on Thursday 7th March at Letchworth Rugby Club. The squad were magnificent, they played seven matches in total, winning all four group games to reach the quarter finals where they narrowly lost to Highover. They should feel incredibly proud of how well they played, reaching the final 8 from 27 teams.
On Monday 4th February 2013 Ickleford performed in the Sports Hall heats. It was a fantastic event and all those selected represented the school magnificently. Ickleford performed well and finished in first place which means that they now qualify to compete in the Hitchin Area Final on 28th February 2013 at Knights Templar School.
