Year 5 went to Caythorpe Court PGL in beautiful rural Lincolnshire, not far from Sherwood Forest and just a few miles from Grantham. They had an amazing time trying out activites new to them. Three groups split up to take part in Zip Wire, Kayaking and High Ropes.
Year 3 children have been learning to play the cello this year and parents were invited into school to hear them perform. They made a wonderful rich sound and their parents were very appreciative.
The children of Ickleford Primary school amazed parents, guardians and friends with their magnificent production of "Cinderella".
Well done to all the children who took part in this year’s Olympic and Paralympic event.
It was a wonderful day and all those who competed did so in the spirit of the Olympics, with friendship, excellence and respect, and of course a great big smile!
Ickleford entered teams in the netball, handball, wheelchair basketball and the sitting volleyball competitions. All the teams competed magnificently and did themselves and the school proud.
There was also a design and create element again this year, with two children from each school given the chance to design and make their own London 2012 t-shirt.
Once again this year the closing ceremony included a dance number that was choreographed during the day and included two children from each school.
Thank you again to all the children and congratulations to our medal winners.
